Management Accountant

Management Accountant (Ref : MA/01//2010).

A unique opportunity has arisen at our headquarters in Aberdeen for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Management Accountant to build, develop and manage the Finance Team into a highly effective and flexible unit delivering excellent financial support to the Company.

Discussions in the Finance Department

In addition the successful candidate will ensure all financial information and transactions are processed and recorded in accordance with legal requirements, financial standards and Company procedures and all carried out within required timescales.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited:-

  • To provide a professional and effective financial and management accounting service across HRH
  • To support Management in the preparation, review and implementation of business plans, budgets and financial forecasts including revenue, profit and cash flow forecasts
  • To prepare monthly management accounts including trial balance, profit / loss and balance sheets for the Company
  • To be responsible for the management of cash and credit control for HRH reporting actual cash movement, preparing cash flow forecasts and ensure that any significant variations are reported
  • To recruit, train and develop finance team to ensure they can meet the current and future needs of the business
  • To provide clear leadership and direction for the team
  • To provide day to day management for the individuals and the team as a whole
  • To communicate effectively with individuals, the team and across HRH
  • To assist the development of the Company business plan, as part of the annual business planning process
  • To provide information on revenue targets, profit margins and financial indicators to the Management team and work with Managers in identifying and resolving issues
  • To provide financial input/information for proposals or projects as required
  • To undertake job costing reviews

Wellsite Geologists (Ref: WSG/06/2010)

Wellsite Geologists (Ref : WSG/06/2010).

Wellsite Geologist examining samples

Due to new and ongoing contracts, our Well Operations Department require Wellsite Geologists to join their team. Reporting to the Well Operations General Manager, the successful candidates will provide geological services to our Clients in accordance with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited:-

  • To provide analysis, evaluation and description of formations during drilling operations using cuttings, gas, FEMWD and wireline data
  • To identify formation boundaries, casing and coring points
  • To advise on drilling hazards
  • To report to and advise Client personnel onsite and Client office
  • Responsible for supervising and provide quality control of Mudlogging, FEMWD and wireline services
  • To carry out pre-spud evaluation of offset data
  • To communicate pre-spud and post well date to Client personnel

Educated to degree level in Geology or other Science based subject, you should have good communications skills and possess knowledge of the following:-

  • Mudlogging techniques
  • FEMWD and wireline supervision and quality control
  • Quick look wireline log evaluation
  • Coring, SWC and RFT techniques
  • Gas detection and analysis
  • Formation pore pressure
  • HPHT, horizontal, extended reach drilling
