Formation Pressure Evaluation is endorsed by the Geological Society of London and as such forms a component of continuous professional development (CPD) for geologists working towards Chartered status. Pre-drill prediction and real time evaluation of pore fluid pressure, formation fracture pressure and borehole collapse pressure are all included. Models widely used in the industry are critically appraised with a strong emphasis on integration of qualitative and quantitative data acquired in real time during drilling. Each topic is backed up by practical exercises that for around 45% of the course time.
