Dawood Khan, MD of HRH Geology, recently attended a ceremony at Buckingham Palace to celebrate being one of the few companies to win a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International trade 2016.
HRH Geology won the Queen’s Award in recognition of our sustained overseas business success, providing operational geology software and services to the oil and gas industry worldwide. The accolade marks outstanding achievement (exceptional growth) over three years and is our second such award, following previous success in 2013 when we were recognized for six years of continuous growth in International trade.
Helping our customers to drill better wells both now and in the future, and to understand the rocks and their potential for producing hydrocarbons is our mission. We operate globally and have been highly successful in creating an international presence across a variety of cultures as fundamentally, we all have the same challenges with operational geology. We are delivering our integrated service into new markets in North America, the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia, working with most of the major national and international energy companies. This ability to offer a truly integrated service on a global basis has been instrumental in securing the Queen’s Award.
From humble beginnings in 1989, HRH has grown steadily as a provider of specialist geological solutions. Our leading-edge software suite Gravitas includes the industry’s first and widely adopted log drawing solution Winlog, which we will launch a new generation of in 2016. We have also developed Spectra, a world-class mass spectrometer based, advanced mud gas analysis service.
Adding to our portfolio, we are also one of the largest suppliers of wellsite and operations geologists in the North Sea courtesy of our manpower division Geoplacer. With hundreds of geologists across the globe on its database, Geoplacer ensures the provision of specialist geology support either in the office or offshore. In addition, our training division offers expert training services on a global basis, helping E&P industry professionals to maintain their skills and remain fully up to date with the latest industry developments.
Be it software, gas analysis, manpower or training, all these services can be provided independently or collectively as an integrated operational geology solution.
Mr Khan commented: "The award is seen as one of the UK’s highest accolades, and to receive this, our second Queen’s Award, is a fantastic achievement. We are delighted to have been selected as winners and attending the prestigious reception at Buckingham Palace was a fantastic experience. Our dedicated team works hard and we couldn’t have achieved both Awards without their skill, commitment and enthusiasm. Winning reinforces our vision to become the foremost provider of operational geology to the oil and gas industry worldwide."< Go back
