13 December 2022 - 15 December 2022

Managing Geological Operations examines the role of the Operations Geologist working in the Operator office and supervising the geological aspects of drilling a borehole. The course is split into three phases: Before Drilling, During Drilling and Post-Drilling duties. Before drilling is concerned with writing the Geological Programme for the well and also closely examines the tendering process for obtaining the various specialist services required by the well. During drilling deals with reports including the Daily Drilling Report, and the decisions required from the Operations Geologist Finally the Post drilling phase focusses on the deliverables from the Operations Geologist – the Composite Log and the Final Well report
